Mention someone in a post

Type @ in the composer and pick from the suggestions. You can mention up to five members per post. Only people you are connected with can be mentioned (both of you accepted the connection), plus Pages, which anyone may mention. The mention becomes a link to their profile, and they get a notification when they are allowed to see the post.
Mentioned and you would rather not be?
Open the post and choose Remove my mention. Your name stays as plain text, the link is gone, and an edit can never add you back to that post.
