Tracking your applications

Everything you have submitted is at /artists/my-applications/. This is your side of the process — not the manager's inbox.

What the statuses mean

• In Discussion — the manager is engaging with your application.
• Accepted — you are going ahead.
• Rejected — not this time.

Statuses are set by the manager who received the application. Not every manager updates them promptly, so no change does not always mean no interest.

Applications you sent elsewhere

You can add applications you submitted outside the platform, so one list covers everything you have out rather than half of it. Useful when you are applying widely and losing track of what went where.

Following up

• Give it a reasonable interval before chasing — a week or two is normal for most calls.
• One short, polite follow-up. Reference the specific opportunity and the date you applied.
• If a call had a stated decision date, wait until after it.

Learning from the pattern

Look at the list as a whole every so often. Lots sent and nothing moving usually points at the portfolio or at applying to poorly matched calls, not at the applications themselves. Ask Spotty to look over your applications and portfolio with you.

Rejections

A rejection is about one brief. Managers who liked your material often keep you on their roster for later — which is exactly why a current portfolio matters more than any single application.
