NYC Artist Call: Memory Exhibition

We invite NYC based artists to submit work that explores memory in all its forms — fragile, selective, layered, and alive. Memory shapes identity, culture, and history, yet it is never fixed: it shifts with time, distorts with retelling, and resists complete recovery.

We welcome interpretations that engage with:
• Personal memory — the private archive of a life; childhood, family, place, loss
• Collective memory — shared or contested histories, public memory, erasure, cultural inheritance
• Embodied memory — the past as it resurfaces through sensation, texture, or instinct rather than narrative
• Memory and forgetting — absence, erasure, and what is lost or deliberately unremembered
• Inherited memory — stories and trauma passed down across generations

Parameters:
- 2D Works only
- Max 30" wide
- Max 3 artworks submitted
- No shipped artwork, drop off and pickup only
- $25 application fee
- Artists keep 70% of sales

Important Dates:
Artwork Drop off: September 18, 19 & 20 from 10am-2pm
Opening: Thursday September 24 from 5-9 pm
Viewing: Friday Sept 25 from 3-7 pm
Viewing Saturday Sept 26 from 1-7 pm
Artwork Pickup: Saturday Sept 26 from 7-9 pm & Sept 28 from 10 am-2pm
