Special Projects Designer

Join Vibram's Special Projects design team as a highly creative and detail-oriented Designer. Support the footwear and component design process from concept through development, contributing to innovative, forward-thinking products in collaboration with global brand partners.

Responsibilities include conducting trend research and competitive analysis, creating footwear sketches and CADs, assisting in launching and developing footwear styles, organizing and tracking samples, maintaining material libraries, supporting prototype reviews, creating concept boards, managing project timelines, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting LA Connection Lab activations and events.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Footwear Design, Fashion Design, Industrial Design, or related field (or equivalent experience)

- 1-2 years of industry experience in footwear or fashion design; knowledge of footwear materials, construction, tooling, and manufacturing processes

- proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and strong CAD skills with footwear focus

- working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

- based in Los Angeles with ability to work in-office at least three days per week

- ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed

- flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

- strong English communication skills.
