Senior Visuals Editor

Senior Visual Editor responsible for curating and producing innovative visual content across all platforms (social, video, digital, print, experiential). Lead all aspects of photo shoot production for covers, features, and special projects. Manage budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships. Coordinate on-set production and ensure visual direction execution. Build relationships with photographers, stylists, and agencies. Manage content production budgets and secure contracts and usage rights.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead photo shoot production from commissioning to completion
• Develop digital-first photo strategies and visual direction
• Secure multimedia and video assets for digital and social platforms
• Review portfolios and build relationships with photographers and agencies
• Create and maintain production timelines, budgets, and shot-lists
• Lead on-set coordination and problem-solving
• Manage content production budgets and negotiate vendor rates
• Oversee VF signature portrait and video studios for major events (Oscars, Cannes, TIFF, etc.)
• Liaise across departments for tentpole and special projects
• Process invoices and wrap jobs efficiently

Requirements:
• 5-7+ years in photo/visual production and editing; magazine experience preferred
• Experience leading complex, talent-based editorial shoots
• Passion for current events and visual culture with strong art history foundation
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong editorial judgment and platform expertise
• Highly organized, detail-oriented with excellent communication skills
• Collaborative approach to stakeholder management
• Ability to travel for assignments and shoots
• Extensive network of agencies, photographers, stylists, and studios
