Publishing a listing

A listing is a public way to invite new connections. It can be a job, a casting call, an open call, a grant, or a residency — standalone, or attached to one of your projects. Listings are one channel for meeting people, not the whole platform.

Creating one

Go to /jobs/manage/ and create a listing, or ask Spotty to open the listing editor. As with projects you can write it yourself, or have AI draft it:

  • From a prompt — describe what you are looking for.
  • From a URL — point at an existing announcement and let it be read in.
  • From an image — upload a flyer or call sheet and have the details extracted.

AI drafting draws on your credit balance and shows the cost first. Always read and correct the draft before publishing — it goes out under your name.

What makes a listing work

  • Be concrete about the role. Discipline, level, and what the person will actually do.
  • Say where and when. Location and dates filter out mismatches before they apply.
  • Be honest about terms. Paid, expenses, or unpaid — saying so up front saves everyone time.
  • Ask only what you need. Every extra form field costs you applicants.

The application form

Each listing has its own form. Build the fields yourself, or have AI propose fields based on what the listing asks for. See the article on application forms and settings.

After publishing

Your listing appears publicly, where creatives see it as an opportunity. Applications land in your inbox tagged to the listing. Manage, edit, or close listings from /jobs/manage/.
