Project statuses
Every project carries a status. It controls what the project does and keeps your project list readable as it grows.
The statuses
Draft
You are still building it. Not visible publicly, not accepting applications. Use it while you work out the details.
Active
The project is live and running. If applications are switched on, this is when they can come in.
Completed
The work happened and is finished. Everything stays available to read, but the project is out of your day-to-day view.
Archived
Put away for reference. Use it for projects you want out of the way but not gone — past editions of a recurring festival are the classic case.
Closed
Not going ahead, or no longer taking part. The record stays; the project stops being active.
Choosing between Completed, Archived, and Closed
Ask what happened: Completed means it ran and ended, Closed means it stopped or was cancelled, and Archived means you are filing it away regardless of outcome. If you are unsure, Completed and Archived are both safe — nothing is lost either way.
Nothing is deleted
Changing status never removes data. Applications, files, messages, and the people connected to the project all remain, and the project can be made active again.
Why it matters for connections
The value of a finished project is the people in it. Before you archive one, move the people worth keeping onto your roster so the relationship outlives the job.
