Building your Talent Database

Your Talent Database at /creative-roster/ — Talent → Database in the header — is the home for the people you represent, book, or want to keep close. It is not a list of candidates you are considering; it is your working relationship list, and for most managers it is the first thing to set up. Each person appears as a talent card.

Adding people

• By hand — Add User Manually under Add/Download Profiles. Free, and the fastest way to get started. AI shortcuts can pre-fill it from a business card, a CV, or a website.
• From Talent Finder — Save to Database on a search result. Find Talent in the page header takes you there.
• From an application — move someone who applied to you into your Talent Database when the relationship becomes ongoing.
• By import — Upload File brings an existing list in from a CSV file.

Views

The view menu switches between All Profiles, Manual Profiles, Portfolio Profiles for people with a portfolio on The Pending, Shared Profiles that colleagues shared with you, Favorite Profiles, and Studio Access for creatives who gave you access to their portfolio. The same menu can sort by Highest score first.

What you can keep on a profile

• Notes — the context that is not in anyone's CV: how you met, what they are good for, what they cost.
• Tags — your own labels for discipline, region, availability, or anything else you filter by.
• Ratings — your own assessment, private to you.
• Files — riders, portfolios, agreements, press material.
• Pipeline stage — where the relationship currently stands.

Profiles you create belong to you

A profile you build by hand or save from a search is yours. Your notes, ratings, and files on it are private — no other manager can see them, and the person themselves does not see your internal notes.

Talent in projects

Add people to a project and they appear in its Project Talents list. A project page links back with Open Talent Database.

Keeping it useful

A Talent Database earns its keep when you can filter it fast. Tag consistently from the start, and write the note at the moment you learn something rather than later. Ask Spotty to search it in plain language — "who do I have in Berlin who plays drums" — rather than scrolling.
