Exporting or deleting your data

You can get a copy of your data or have it removed. Both are your right under data protection law, and both are available without contacting anyone.

Exporting your data

Request a self-service export at /settings/export/, reachable from your account settings. It produces a machine-readable file containing the records the platform holds about you — your account, your own content, and the things you created.

The export is built to be portable, so you can take it elsewhere. Some material is excluded where including it would expose someone else's personal data.

Deleting your account

Deleting your account is different from cancelling a subscription. Cancelling stops the billing; deleting, at /settings/delete/, removes the account and the personal data attached to it.

Some records must be kept for a limited period for legal and accounting reasons — invoices are the usual example. Those are retained for as long as the law requires and no longer.

If you do not want to be found

If you are a creative and you do not want to appear in manager searches, you can ask for your profile to be removed from discovery. This is handled as a data protection objection: it takes you out of finder results and puts you on a do-not-surface list so a later search does not pull you back in.

Email you did not ask for

Every notification email carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and your notification preferences are in your account settings. Unsubscribing from one category does not switch off the others; the unsubscribe page also has a Stop all emails I can switch off button for that. It stops application and project notices too; billing notices (subscription cancelled, payment failed, out of pens), sign-in, security and legally required emails still arrive.

Community posts you delete

When you delete a Take, Work, Scene, comment or Echo, it leaves the feed at once. After thirty days the text, location, tags and search copies are erased, and photos and videos follow the same window. An open report, or a documented hold (an appeal, a legal dispute, or a legal retention duty), keeps the content until that is finished. After that same window, likes, tags and the author name leave the empty row unless a report still needs them. Deleted comments and Echos drop their author the same way. Empty reference rows can remain so existing reports still resolve. Ordinary bell notifications leave after 180 days; report and evidence copies stay. Copies in emails, chats or backups are not this job — the Privacy Policy covers those.
