Action cards and approvals

Spotty never changes your data or spends extra credits silently. When it wants to do something, it proposes it as a card and waits for you.

Two kinds of card

Navigation cards

These simply take you somewhere — the project editor, the listing editor, an email composer, the finder, or a page in this Help Center. They cost nothing and change nothing. You click them if the destination is where you wanted to go.

Action proposals

These describe something Spotty would do that has a real effect, such as starting a finder run or scoring your incoming applications. The card tells you what will happen and what it will cost before you decide. You approve it or reject it. Rejecting costs nothing.

Why it works this way

You stay in control of anything with a consequence — spending credits, sending something outward, or changing records. It also means a misunderstanding is cheap: if Spotty proposes the wrong thing, you reject the card and correct it in the next message.

Reviewing what it produced

When an approved action produces a draft — an email body, an application letter, a listing description — that draft opens for you to edit. Nothing is sent or published straight from the assistant.

What Spotty cannot do at all

• It cannot create or change calendar entries; calendar access is read-only.
• It cannot see or touch another user's data.
• It cannot send email or publish anything without you completing the step yourself.

If a proposal ever looks like it would do more than you asked, reject it and say what you actually wanted.
