Getting good answers from Spotty

Updated This content is in English — use your browser’s translate feature to read it in your language.

Spotty works best when you tell it what you are trying to achieve rather than which button you think you need.

Ask for the outcome

Compare "where is the project settings tab" with "I want people to apply to my tour project — set that up". The second lets Spotty check what actually applies to your account and open the right editor.

Give it the context it cannot see

Name the project, the listing, or the person you mean. Spotty can search your own data, but "the festival one" is faster to resolve when you add the actual name.

Sessions

Conversations are kept as sessions, so you can come back to a thread later or start a fresh one when you switch topic. Starting a new session for a new topic usually gives sharper answers than one long thread that drifts across subjects.

Attachments

You can upload a file into the chat when it helps — for example a document you want summarised or a screenshot of something you are describing.

Rate every answer

Each reply has thumbs up and thumbs down. Thumbs down refunds the credits for that message in full and records what went wrong. Use it whenever an answer misses; that is what it is there for.

Cost

Each message you send costs a flat amount in credits, no matter how much looking-up Spotty does to answer it. Actions that spend extra — like starting a finder run — are always proposed first and shown with their cost before you approve.

If an answer looks wrong

Spotty can be wrong. Anything it drafts for you — an email, a letter, a listing — is a draft to review, not something to send unread. Check names, dates, and figures before they leave the platform.
