Browse versus Job Finder

Browsing /jobs/ is a free text search over what managers published here. Job Finder is an AI run that also searches beyond the platform and assesses each result against your profile. It draws on your credit balance; the cost is shown before you start.

What it reads

It uses your portfolio to understand what to look for — your profession, experience level, location, and specialisms. This is the single biggest lever on result quality. A vague profession produces vague results.

Watched websites

You can add your own websites for the finder to watch — up to five. Use them for the places your field actually posts: a national casting board, a union list, a venue network, an industry newsletter archive. This is how you get results that generic search would never reach.

Reading the results

Each result comes with reasoning for why it was matched. Check dates and location yourself before investing time — listings elsewhere on the web go stale, and the finder flags what it can but cannot guarantee an external post is still open.

If a run disappoints

• No results at all — credits are refunded automatically.
• Poor results — rate them down; that triggers a refund for the run.
• Wrong kind of work — fix your portfolio first, then run again. Most bad runs are profile problems.

Turning a result into an application

From a result you can generate an application letter aimed at it. Edit the draft before sending.
